Fun Spot Orlando recently implemented a new chaperone policy over the summer. Per their Instagram page and website, any guest under the age of 21 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21. These chaperone adults may not be responsible for more than two people under the age of 21. Fun Spot cites high crowd volume as the reason for this change, saying, “We value every guest’s experience and are acting proactively to support a secure and enjoyable visit for all.”
Many Winter Park High School students are affected by this policy, such as tenth-grade student Barnes Herman, who was asked for his thoughts on the situation. “I think that they are losing park guests as a result and might not recover from that. It affects us all, so now we have to find somewhere else to hang out.”
This change is currently in effect as long as the park management deems it necessary.
