ASL Club is one of the many clubs at Winter Park High School, they meet every other Wednesday after school from 1:20 to 2:20 pm in room 276. The club sponsor is Mrs. MacKay and the co-president is Vera Janelle. ASL Club focuses on signing practice and learning about the deaf community. No one uses their voice during the meetings, and students participate in activities that encourage teamwork. ASL Club is a great opportunity to meet new people and become more comfortable with signing, especially for those who would like to pick up a new skill. Opportunities to meet outside of school also come up, such as the silent dinner. Everybody’s welcome!
