This week we celebrate Hispanic Heritage week. Hispanic heritage week is derived from Hispanic Heritage month, which is celebrated from September 15th to October 15th. This week at Winter Park the halls were filled with students dressing up for different themes Representing Hispanic Heritage. Monday students represented their favorite teams for jersey day, Tuesday students wore clothes that showed their favorite foods and restaurants, Wednesday celebrated Hispanic films and literature, Thursday students dressed as their favorite artists, and Friday people represented different countries with traditional clothing. Teachers this week also celebrated in their own ways. The culinary classes made traditional Hispanic foods, such as empanadas and churros. To wrap up this amazing week Winter Park did a festival during both lunches with traditional Puerto Rican music (La Plena) and face painting.
