Over Spring Break, the 95th Academy Awards aired, handing out a number of awards to the year’s best films. Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert’s Everything Everywhere All At Once absolutely swept at the Oscars, taking home 7 awards. The film won for both Best Original Screenplay and Best Picture. Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert took home the awards for Best Director. Ke Huy Quan, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Michelle Yeoh won Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Actress respectively.

A well deserved win was Brendan Fraser, who took the award for Best Actor for his role in Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale. While the film has received mixed reception among audiences and critics, most agree that Brendan Fraser’s performance was a highlight in the film. Considering the fact that Fraser disappeared from the spotlight in the early 2000s, The Whale is a triumphant comeback for the actor.
